Diagnóstico de marketing digital

Uma operação de frete real.
Invisível no digital.

Quem é a NFL Logistics

Manteca, Califórnia (corredor agrícola e de distribuição do Central Valley). Fundada em 2018. Na prática, são duas empresas casadas.

NFL Logistics — o broker

FMCSA · USDOT 3213100

NTL Truck Line — a frota

A transportadora irmã, asset-based: 36 caminhões e 36 motoristas no registro FMCSA (o site fala "50+ trucks" — discrepância a esclarecer). ~3 mi de milhas em 2023. Carga: frete geral, U.S. Mail, bebidas, papel.

FMCSA · USDOT 3123075

Serviços: drop trailer (carro-chefe), temperature-controlled, dry van, intermodal, LTL, flatbed, dedicated, carga superdimensionada. Atende shippers e contratos governamentais (carregam U.S. Mail — credencial rara). Tagline: "You set the rules, we deliver." loadnfl.com/shippers

03

04

O ativo engavetado: uma celebridade no time

Sunny Gill — CEO, cofundador

Variety/Netflix   SI · estreia AEW

Presença no CarrierSource (o "Google Reviews do frete") e recrutamento de motorista via Meta Ads (US$ 4–6/lead) completam o básico.

As fases se sobrepõem.

F0
Semanas 1–2 · custo ~zero · impacto direto na conversão

Fundação e credibilidade — consertar o que o shipper vê no vetting

  • Google Business Profile: reivindicar/otimizar + campanha de reviews pros 100+ shippers e carriers. Meta: 15+ reviews em 60 dias. Hoje: invisível.
  • CarrierSource: claim do perfil grátis + review sistemático pós-entrega.

  4. Apollo + Sales Navigator como execução: enriquecer a lista qualificada e sequenciar (e-mail + ligação + LinkedIn). Segurar o ZoomInfo — Apollo entrega ~80% do valor por fração do custo.
Meta: lista enxuta e certa (200–400 alvos trabalhados a fundo) > 5.000 disparos frios → 8–15 reuniões qualificadas/mês a partir do mês 2. Com ticket recorrente, 1–2 shippers novos pagam a operação inteira.
F2
Semanas 4–12 · o diferencial

Autoridade fundador-led — a carta Satnam + o CEO tech

Acessos a liberar (caminho crítico)
  • Google Business Profile (admin)
Orçamento a aprovar
  • Ferramentas: Apollo (~US$ 50–99/mês), dado de bill of lading (ImportGenius/Panjiva), Sales Navigator (via Pardeep)
  • Mídia: Google Ads (~US$ 1,5–2k/mês) + Meta (recrutamento) + LinkedIn quando aplicável
Pra shipper doméstico puro, a fonte é a carteira existente + enriquecimento.

Who NFL Logistics is

Manteca, California (the Central Valley's agricultural and distribution corridor). Founded in 2018. In practice, two companies married together.

NFL Logistics — the broker

Freight broker, authority active since Dec 2018, BMC-84 bond of US$ 75K. Its own carrier authority has been inactive since 2022 — on paper, it's a broker today.

FMCSA · USDOT 3213100

NTL Truck Line — the fleet

The sister asset-based carrier: 36 trucks and 36 drivers on the FMCSA record (the site claims "50+ trucks" — a discrepancy to clarify). ~3M miles in 2023. Freight: general, U.S. Mail, beverages, paper.

FMCSA · USDOT 3123075

Services: drop trailer (flagship), temperature-controlled, dry van, intermodal, LTL, flatbed, dedicated, over-dimensional freight. Serves shippers and government contracts (they haul U.S. Mail — a rare credential). Tagline: "You set the rules, we deliver." loadnfl.com/shippers

The read: there is no digital funnel. Their sales run on referrals and the phone — which is exactly why Digby already arrived thinking about Sales Navigator: the acquisition engine is the bottleneck.

03

Red flags — know before you close (and before you market)

The regulatory record has scars — and it's public

  • Broker: a bond gap (2020–2021) with authority revoked and reinstated, plus involuntary revocation proceedings in 2023, 2024 and Mar 2026 (dismissed Apr 2026; today active with bond current). SAFER 3213100
  • Fleet (NTL): ~25% vehicle out-of-service rate on inspection (national average ~21%) and a revocation entry in Oct 2025 on the record. FMCSA SMS 3123075
  • Narrative discrepancies: the site says "50+ trucks", FMCSA records 36. FMCSA-derived records list a Mantej Singh as president — a name not on the site — and the "Pardeep" Digby mentioned appears nowhere. Worth clarifying who's who before building a public narrative.

Why it matters for marketing: shippers vet brokers on CarrierSource and SAFER before handing over freight. Today, anyone researching NFL finds only these blemished records — with no positive review, content or social proof to offset them. None of these marks is fatal (they're common in trucking), but the right response is to bury them under real social proof, not ignore them. Reputation here is the #1 sales-conversion lever.

04

The shelved asset: a celebrity on the team

The team has a better story than their marketing tells — and a card no same-size competitor can copy.

Sunny Gill — CEO, co-founder

10+ years in technology; former IT/cybersecurity for the U.S. Department of Defense. A perfect profile for a "technology-driven logistics" narrative. official bio

Satnam Singh — VP of Partnerships (ambassador)

First India-born player drafted into the NBA (2015), subject of a Netflix documentary (One in a Billion), now an AEW wrestler. His bio on the site is 100% fame, zero logistics: a celebrity name to open doors, not an operator.

Variety/Netflix   SI · AEW debut

How this becomes marketing

It's zero-cost earned media: a "from the NBA to freight" content series, pitches to logistics and business podcasts (FreightCaviar, FreightWaves love a story like this), and using him to open doors — including in the Indian-American business community that dominates California trucking. Today the company doesn't produce a single line of content with him.

05

Benchmark: what same-size companies do

Mid-size U.S. brokers and carriers (30–150 trucks / US$ 5–50M). The pattern among the ones that grow is clear — and none of them wins by "posting 3× a week on Instagram".

$0 → $600M

MoLo Solutions went from US$ 0 to ~US$ 600M/year in 4 years on founder-led brand (Andrew Silver posting daily on LinkedIn) + employer brand — then sold to ArcBest. Growth verified; proof that a founder's face compounds in freight. FreightWaves

Minimum table stakes for the segment: database outbound (Apollo/Sales Navigator) is the #1 revenue channel — but it's table stakes; every broker does it. Initial 90-day plan

Ordered by speed of impact per dollar: credibility → acquisition → authority → paid media. The phases overlap.

F0
Weeks 1–2 · ~zero cost · direct impact on conversion

Foundation & credibility — fix what the shipper sees when vetting

  • Google Business Profile: claim/optimize + a review campaign to the 100+ shippers and carriers. Target: 15+ reviews in 60 days. Today: invisible.
  • CarrierSource: claim the free profile + systematic post-delivery review requests. It's the sector's #1 trust channel and they have zero.
  • LinkedIn: fix the HQ (St. Louis → Manteca!), slug, banner, keyword-rich description; clean up Sunny, Kulwant and Satnam's personal profiles.
  • Website — surgery, not a redesign: keyword H1, one landing page per service, a quote form with qualifiers (lane, volume, cargo type), GA4 + pixels from day 1.
  • Regulatory hygiene: update the MCS-150 and align the real fleet number (36 vs "50+") — the public narrative has to match the federal record.
F1
Weeks 2–8 · the revenue engine

A layered acquisition machine — starting from the right data

Cold outbound on Apollo is freight's most saturated channel (real reply rate 1–3%). The architecture is not "scrape a job title and blast" — it's building the list from real freight signal and using Apollo/Sales Navigator only as execution. SGM enters here with its own edge: a base of 27,000+ logistics decision-makers and a freight-veteran network.

  1. Milk the existing book first (~zero cost, highest ROI): reactivate dormant accounts among the 100+ shippers, ask for new lanes and referrals.
  2. List source = bill of lading / import data (ImportYeti, ImportGenius, Panjiva): who actually ships, volume, port, commodity, current carrier. For reefer + drop trailer near Oakland/LA/Long Beach, this is 10× more qualified than scraping titles on Apollo.
  3. Government/RFP channel: they already haul U.S. Mail — they should be on SAM.gov, GSA freight and state DOT bids. High-value pipeline a small broker doesn't even try for.
  4. Apollo + Sales Navigator as execution: enrich the qualified list and sequence (email + call + LinkedIn). Hold off on ZoomInfo — Apollo delivers ~80% of the value at a fraction of the cost.
  5. Lead with CAPACITY, not "we're a broker": "our own reefer/drop-trailer capacity on that lane" — an asset, not a commodity.
Target: a lean, right list (200–400 accounts worked deeply) > 5,000 cold blasts → 8–15 qualified meetings/month from month 2. With recurring freight, 1–2 new shippers pay for the whole marketing operation.
F2
Weeks 4–12 · the differentiator

Founder-led authority — the Satnam card + the tech CEO

  • Sunny Gill: 2–3 LinkedIn posts/week — operations behind-the-scenes, California lane data, a technology point of view (the DoD background sets him apart). Ghostwritten by SGM, in his voice.
  • Satnam Singh: a "from the NBA to freight" series, pitches to logistics/business podcasts, and active door-opening in the Indian-American trucking community. Earned media nobody can copy.
  • Company page: 2 posts/week recycling the founders' content + delivery cases (real photo, real number).
F3
Weeks 6–12 · paid media only after the funnel is ready

Surgical paid media + SEO planted

  • Bottom-funnel Google Ads: US$ 1.5–2k/month only on geo+service terms ("drop trailer service California", "temperature controlled trucking California"). Broad "logistics company" burns budget — don't.
  • Meta Ads for driver recruiting (NTL): leads at US$ 4–6 — the fastest, most visible result in the package (weeks), and it solves a real fleet pain.
  • LinkedIn Ads: only once the lead magnet + retargeting are ready (CPL ~US$ 130 — expensive for cold top-of-funnel).
  • SEO: the F0 landing pages + 2 articles/month on the "Big 5" model. Pays off in 6–12 months; plant it now.
Reputation
15+ Google reviews, 10+ CarrierSource, profiles fixed (was: zero everywhere)
Pipeline

Data asset
A proprietary CA shipper list from bill-of-lading data, enriched in the CRM — an asset that stays
Timeline: kickoff projected for 2027. Planning and alignment can run now, but execution of the phases starts next year — nothing committed for this half of the year.
08

Prerequisites — what we need from NFL

The plan is executable, but almost nothing starts until NFL grants access and approves budget. This is the honest checklist of what has to be on the table before kickoff — and what Digby should line up with Pardeep.

Access to grant (critical path)
  • Google Business Profile (admin)
  • CarrierSource — proof we represent the company
  • Company LinkedIn (admin) + Sunny, Kulwant and Satnam's profiles
  • WordPress site + DNS
  • Google Ads and Meta Ads accounts (or create them)
  • The 100+ shipper list and CRM access
Only NFL can do
  • Update the MCS-150 — a federal filing; needs an officer's FMCSA PIN
  • Settle the real fleet number (36 vs "50+") to align the narrative
  • Register/refresh the entity on SAM.gov (basis for the government channel)
Confirm with the people
  • Satnam Singh agreeing to be the face of content/podcasts — the Phase 2 trump card; without his "yes", the differentiator disappears
  • Sunny Gill committing to post weekly (we ghostwrite, he shows up)
Budget to approve
  • Tools: Apollo (~US$ 50–99/mo), bill-of-lading data (ImportGenius/Panjiva), Sales Navigator (via Pardeep)
  • Media: Google Ads (~US$ 1.5–2k/mo) + Meta (recruiting) + LinkedIn when applicable
  • SGM fee
Data nuance: bill of lading maps importers — perfect for the import→port→intermodal/drayage lane (SGM's niche), but it doesn't capture purely domestic freight. For a pure domestic shipper, the source is the existing book + enrichment. Without the access above, Phase 0 can't start — which is why the first move at kickoff (2027) is to unlock this very list.

SGM's first case study is right here

Almost-zero digital presence + a real operation + a celebrity on the team = the perfect "before and after". When the project kicks off (projected for 2027), SGM starts with Phase 0 — ~zero cost — and stands up shipper pipeline within 60 days of kickoff.
